Samantha McTaggart is our Registered Home Manager. Samantha is an experienced Registered Nurse, and previously held the role of Matron at Cann House.
She has a Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
Samantha provides professional leadership for nurses and all staff that have a direct impact on the services that are offered to ensure that the high standards of quality of care is maintained.

Ruth Sweet is responsible for the Care Staff and daily operations relating to care. Ruth has the RMA has previous Management experience where she was a deputy Manager for a Residential Dementia Unit.
Kitchen Manager
Chris McTaggart is the Kitchen Manager, he works very closely with Amy and the cooks to provide nutritious meals throughout the day for the Residents. The Kitchen are happy to discuss any dietary requirements on admission and any potential changes to the Menu. The Kitchen Team are happy to cater for small celebrations throughout the year and create an individual Birthday Cake on those special days.
Team Leaders
We have Team Leaders at Cann House that are specifically trained to support the Nursing Team and the Care Team. They work very closely with the Care Manager to ensure the smooth running of each shift. They also support all new Staff through the Induction Programme and any in house Training.
End of Life Champions
As Cann House has the St Lukes Six Steps accreditation, we have specific named staff who are specialist in this field of care.

Cann House’s Administrator deals with all financial matters pertaining to the people who live at Cann, including Personal Allowance Accounts. They welcome any discussions regarding financial queries that you may have.
